Submarine Cables
The EGS Group has an extensive track record in the submarine cable industry with more than 300,000 route kilometres surveyed. Submarine cable route surveys typically combine hydrographic, geophysical and geotechnical survey disciplines. A typical requirement is for data to be delivered to the client on board the vessel no more than 24 hours after acquisition. This allows for route planning or any deviations to the survey route applied before the survey vessel has travelled too far. EGS Australia is your one stop shop for your fully integrated submarine telecommunication cable route survey. EGS Australia’s services include:
- Feasibility studies and desk top studies
- Route surveys
- Route planning and engineering
- Burial assessment surveys
- Installation survey support
- Landing site identification, assessment and selection
- Permitting identification and audits
- Environmental and social impact assessment
- Risk identification and assessment
- Route survey scoping and specifications
